Hi, I’m Andrea, and I go by Drea.  I am thrilled to be joining the Dezign team and continuing my education here while building my clientele. Ever since I was little, I knew I wanted to be a Hairstylist. Something about being in the salon made me feel like I was where I was meant to be. My journey toward achieving my dream of becoming a stylist hasn’t been free of obstacles. From starting my cosmetology training at Cinta Aveda San Jose Institute in September of 2019 right before the pandemic hit, to finding out I was going to become a mother towards the end of my training – I got through it all! So far my favorite thing is cutting but I’m also working towards mastering all things color! I am always open to learning new trends and techniques through Aveda Masterclasses. 

My favorite thing about being a hairstylist is that I get to bring the beauty out in people and make them feel confident. I also love being a part of big or small transformations! Whether that means bright colors or a good chop! I am a big believer in taking care of our planet for our future and for our children. So naturally, I fell in love with Aveda’s mission to create environmentally friendly products. Working with all the products at Aveda has been amazing.

Growing up, I was taught that family is everything. When I don’t have my hands in hair, I am at home spending time with my son Santiago –watching Netflix shows, playing outside, blowing bubbles or going on long walks! On weekends, we spend time with my big family. I am the last out of 9 kids and my son is the 16th grandchild out of a whopping 18 grandkids. We are all close and enjoy celebrating birthdays in big ways with music, good food and cold drinks –each with our own sense of style. I can’t wait to build connections with my clients, creating a second family!
